In 2024, IVAO Lebanon’s Event Department orchestrated 16 diverse activities, including 12 HQ events, 2 division-specific events, and 4 group flights. This dynamic lineup catered to a wide array of aviation enthusiasts, fostering both learning and camaraderie.
A standout event was “WHITE LEBANON,” held on December 7, 2024. This innovative dual event combined IFR and VFR flights within a six-hour window, allowing pilots to experience Lebanon’s winter landscapes from different perspectives. The event’s success highlighted the department’s commitment to creative and engaging programming.
The department’s growth was significantly influenced by active listening to member feedback. By analyzing attendance patterns, flight preferences, and seasonal trends, events were tailored to meet the community’s interests. This responsive approach ensured that each event resonated with participants, offering the right mix of challenge, enjoyment, and cultural exploration.
Collaboration with other divisions also played a crucial role. Joint events, such as the “Beirut-Athens” airbridge with IVAO Greece, commemorated nearly 70 years of aviation history and strengthened international ties within the IVAO community.
As the year concluded, IVAO Lebanon’s Event Department emerged stronger and more confident. By aligning activities with member needs and division interests, the department not only enhanced engagement but also set a solid foundation for future endeavors. The experiences and lessons from 2024 have positioned IVAO Lebanon to continue delivering exceptional and meaningful events in the years to come.
