Beirut – Yerevan
IVAO’s Lebanon and South Caucasus Divisions collaborated on a landmark event, the Beirut-Yerevan Dual Airbridge. This event honored the deep historical and cultural ties between Lebanon and Armenia, part of the broader South Caucasus region. Through this airbridge, both divisions celebrated the vibrant Armenian heritage that plays a significant role in Lebanese society, with Armenians comprising 4% of Lebanon’s population and enriching its cultural landscape.
With an impressive turnout of 43 flights—26 outbound from OLBA and 17 returning from UDYZ—the skies were alive with a shared sense of purpose. This airbridge did more than connect two airports; it united two communities in a shared celebration of cultural heritage and friendship.
A Symbol of Unity and Heritage
This collaborative event, the first between IVAO’s Lebanon and South Caucasus Divisions, paid tribute to a unique cultural bond that transcends borders. We are proud of the pilots and controllers who joined this journey, embodying the spirit of unity and solidarity between Lebanon and the South Caucasus region.
