On September 25th, 2025, IVAO Lebanon proudly hosted the First Flight event, commemorating Lebanon’s very first commercial operation — Middle East Airlines’ historic flight from Beirut to Nicosia on January 1st, 1946. The event attracted great enthusiasm from the vintage aviation community, bringing classic aircraft back to IVAO skies.

According to the attendance sheet, 8 pilots flew the Douglas DC-3, while 5 pilots operated the Douglas DC-6, recreating the spirit of post-war aviation with remarkable authenticity.

The success and nostalgic charm of this edition have led IVAO Lebanon to announce that “First Flight” will return in 2026, promising an even richer historical celebration.
