LEBANON – SYRIA
In commemoration of the first commercial flight operated by Middle East Airlines in summer 1946—from Beirut to Damascus on a DH.89 Dragon Rapide—IVAO Lebanon and the Middle East Region Division (XM) came together to host a symbolic airbridge between the two capitals.
Despite lower-than-expected turnout due to the event coinciding with a regional religious holiday, 15 flights were recorded, maintaining a flow of traffic between OLBA and OSDI and marking an important historical milestone for Lebanese aviation.
This event also served as a tribute to the shared history of the region and continued cooperation between neighboring divisions on IVAO.
