On December 7, 2024, IVAO Lebanon introduced a groundbreaking concept to the network: a dual event offering two distinct activities, IFR and VFR, within the same six-hour timeframe. This innovative idea utilized the last two HQ points of the year, creating an unforgettable aviation experience for pilots worldwide.

The event, titled WHITE LEBANON, invited participants to immerse themselves in Lebanon’s winter charm. IFR flights departed from OLBA to global destinations or arrived at OLBA from anywhere in the world, with a minimum block time requirement of one hour. Meanwhile, VFR enthusiasts enjoyed low-altitude scenic flights between OLBA and nearby airports, including OLKA, OLRA, Z19O, and OLBD. The VFR rules emphasized the beauty of the journey, limiting maximum altitude to 10,000 feet and speed to 250 knots, while jets were prohibited.

Pilots who participated in one activity earned one HQ point, while those who completed both IFR and VFR flights were awarded two HQ points. This unique format created an exciting and engaging challenge, drawing a true-to-life affluence of pilots. The event showcased the vibrant aviation spirit of Lebanon, with feedback from participants overwhelmingly celebrating its success.
