Event type: Dual Airbridge – Memorial
Event airports:

Event Overview:
We are thrilled to invite you to a special event, organized by IVAO Lebanon and IVAO Greece Divisions, to commemorate nearly 70 years of aviation history. In 1955, the first direct flights connected Beirut (OLBA) and Athens (LGAT), with Middle East Airlines and Olympic Airways pioneering this historic airbridge.
To honor this milestone, we are recreating these flights in a dual airbridge event, with flights now departing from and arriving at Beirut International Airport OLBA and Athens International Airport LGAV, as the original LGAT is no longer in operation.
Join us as we celebrate the legacy of those first landings with the following aircraft options displayed by order of preference for a better experience:
- DC-3 (4 hours)
- DC-6 or Vickers Viscount (2 hours 50 minutes)
- Turboprop Aircraft (3 hours)
- Jet Aircraft (2 hours)
Safe Flying and Clear Skies!
Important:
- When flying east, maintain odd altitudes (e.g., 3000 ft, 5000 ft). When flying west, maintain even altitudes (e.g., 4000 ft, 6000 ft).
- MAX speed 250 kts below 10.000ft
